Ted Hering reported on rec.arts.animation that Associated Press
has reported the death of Disney animator Jack Hannah on June 11 from
cancer. Hannah's career at Disney studios spanned 26 years, beginning
in 1933, and included credits on over 100 Donald Duck cartoons and
an Academy Award-winning short, "The Old Mill".

Closer to home, Hannah contributed about half of "Donald Duck Find Pirate
Gold", Donald's first comic book adventure, also featuring the debut
of Carl Barks' comic work on the character that would bring him fame.
