First of all congretulations to us for the 750th digest!!!

MIKE:
Your letter sounds good, but I wouln`t give Don`s E-Mail address away to
hundrets of thousands of people. Internet gets bigger so fast that he
would get dozens of E-Mails per day from fans who will mostly ask for the
same things (Drawings, autographs...). At least it`s Don`s decision, but
why don`t you give them your address? Then you could consider to give away
Don`s or this list`s address to people who are really interested.
By the way, there are some problems with the German translations, too.
The dates of the old McDucks in the Lo$ are different from those give in
"The old castle`s secret".

DON:
I think I expressed myself wrong. There were two things I first mentioned
in the Lo$ that I *thought* of being changed from the Barks universe. The
first one was the building of the money bin in 1902 and the second was
that I didn`t expect $crooge getting rich so fast as you showed as he said
that the McDuck fortune was in a bad shape and that he had to rise several
million dollars by finding the ancient treasure in "The old castle`s secret".
After our discussion on the building of the money bin a few months ago I
read the file about you on the WWW-Page, where you clearly said that you
changed or ignored some facts. That was what I referred to, as I neither
know your texts on the Lo$ in the American "Uncle $crooge" comics except for
chapter nine nor am I able to say that you changed other facts, as I don`t
know all Barks stories yet, and none with the original, American texts.
But as I said before I see that those changes were necessary to do the Lo$,
which is still one of my favourite stories (at least up to chapter 10, I
haven`t read the last two yet). Is it now clear what I meant?
Another thing; I`m working on my own family tree of the Ducks, and I haven`t
seen yours yet. The thing I`m now interested in is what you think how
Donald`s Uncle, that cowboy appeared in "Donald Learns the Ropes", WDC 55.
I think that he has to be Grandma Duck`s nephew, that means the son of her
brother Casey Coot. What`s your opinion on this? And where the dates of
the old McDucks clearly given in the original of "The old castle`s Secret"
or did you "invent" them? And are Fethry (I don`t think so) Gladstones
nephew (I don`t know) and Rumpus Barks` charakters or inventions of other
artists? Thank`s a lot for your help!

Have a nice day!
