Theah They Blows:

Well, after hearing a heck of a lot about it, I finally found a copy of "Lost
in the Andes" reprinted in Gladstone DDA #3. After reading Rosa's references
to it in Lo$, and hearing it discussed so often, I was pretty anxious. It's
talked about on this list as if of course we have ALL read it, so I had very
high expectations. Guess what. I was NOT disappointed. I loved this story
and understand why it is such a classic. I loved the concept of Plain Awful
lost in the fog, and it was consistently funny throughout the story. The
moment Donald hears the man in Plain Awful singing Dixie was just beautiful.
(Barks sure did use a lot of exclamation marks.) Don, now I look forward to
reading the sequal -- but like most sequals, I expect to be disappointed.
I'll let you know when I find a copy.
