Sahibs -

I just read WDGiant#2 with "The Mines of King Solomon." I enjoyed the story,
but the issue itself was not as good as #1 because of the Cold Blooded
Penguin. In WDG#1 both stories shared the Mounties theme, but these two
stories seem unrelated.

But as for the Barks story, I enjoyed it moderately. I thought that having
the mines hidden by a giant sand covered tarp seemed a little far fetched,
but I guess a gazzilionaire duck is a little far-fetched to begin with, so
why be picky.

I also thought Barks disposed of his villians a little too simply, and found
them running away to travel the world seemed a little rediculous, as did the
entire ticket gag.

Don: I see this story contains an U$ reference about learning Arabian while
selling lawn mowers in the Sahara. Okay. Should I hope to see that
reference in an upcoming Lof$? If you somewhow manage to get it into the
notorious Chapter 11, then I will understand why everyone who has already
read it says it's wild.
