Best Barks story?

Time to post some comments again.

A while ago, some friend asked me a Barks-related question. Even though I am
not an expert on Barks, I like to think that I have some general knowledge.
Consequently, this intricate question really lowered my self-esteem. The
question was: “What is Carl Barks own favourite story?”

October 14, 1969 Barks wrote a letter to Klas H. Reimers, a fan from Sweden.
In this letter, in which he stated his opinion about his ten-pagers, he
wrote: “I have no favourite ten-pager anymore. The issue of March
1951(WDC&S125 - Pennies from Heaven) I have always considered technically
well done. It had a rhythm that could have almost been set to music.”

Enough about the ten-pagers, however, I think his real favourite story has
to be one of the longer, and more complex, tales. And I think he once said
that he particularly liked “Lost in the Andes”? On another occasion,
however, he said that he could not decide which story he liked the most.

My question to you list members is: Have Barks ever, in a more “officially”
way, said which Duck story he likes the most? It is not that important, but
I would like to know.

Appreciate any response!
