	WOUTER:
"To make things even more complicated: isn't Ellsworth based on one
of the ravens from the movie DUMBO?"

	In a word - no.

The crows (not ravens) in DUMBO were, for better or worse,
characterized as being black American Southerners, speaking in Southern
dialect.

Ellsworth (a mynah bird, not a crow or raven) speaks English with no
dialect at all, and his personality is nothing like any of Dumbo's crows. In
the stereotypical terms of 1949, when he was created, Ellsworth is evidently
not supposed to be African-American - he's just a black-feathered bird.
