KLAUS HARMS to me, 25-11-2000:

Note: Parrot sketch not included. :-)

About your reference to this Monty Python sketch: there also is a
sketch in which John Cleese has a trap in front of his desk, just
like Uncle Scrooge. And, also like Uncle Scrooge, Cleese uses it to
get rid of a person asking for money (charity).

I don't know the title of the episode in which this sketch appeared.

Could it be possible that this sketch was inspired on Uncle Scrooge?
Besides the trap, John Cleese's dialogue has a lot of resemblances
with Uncle Scrooge's reasoning. Monty Python animator Terry Gilliam
came from the USA, so maybe it's possible?

But, even if there's no intended connection at all, this sketch
is a must-see for every Uncle Scrooge fan.

Best wishes,

--- Daniel

director: "Scrapped!"
viking: "But it's my only line!"

(Another Monty Python sketch, from memory.)
