ANDERS:
About the code - what code would the story have had - and did another
story get that?
instead of the new D-code what code do you think the 9 ½ original pages
should have had. I don't know myself, i have alternative. In inducks i'ts
called CS WDC 60, right? - to show that it was originally WDC 60 but never
published.

Almost, it's CS WDC 64.

WDC 60 came out in September 1945 - so no x-mas stories in that issue.
According the Inducks Barks made the Silent Night story between the stories
published in WDC 63 and WDC 64 so most likely it should have been in WDC 64
(January 1946).

At that time in the 1940's Barks' stories usually were published in the same
order they were drawn (WDC stories). Later years the order altered.

E.g. looks like 24 pager stories in US 68 - US 70 were published in
disorder: Barks draw The Doom Diamond (US 70) in March, Hall of the Mermaid
Queen (US 68) in April, and The Cattle King (US 69) in May 1966. No wonder
why in the last panel of The Cattle King story ducks are driving towars the
sunset(?).

You can find lots of dates(calendar values) from the Inducks/COA.
