Someone mentioned Black Pete and Mickey Mouse as being Mortal enemies. Are
they?I have seen stories in which one of the two has the opportunity to kill
the other one but they don't.Mickey thinks that it is not honorable and Pete
that holding Mickey prisoner is a prize he won.In "The Mystery of Tapiocus
VI" of 1956 by Romano Scarpa he has Mickey all tied up.They call each other
"old man" and then we have an interesting piece of dialog.Mickey says that
he knows Pete would never kill an unarmed man.And Pete answers Mickey knows
well how sensitive he is.He takes a sword and offers Mickey one.He says that
he prefers to kill him in battle. He wins the battle and is ready to behead
Mickey when Mickey is saved etc, etc. The important think is that according to
this stories they can face each other in battle and even kill each other but
not in cold blood, they have a certain respect for their opponent and know
each other well.(Why don't we have more stories like that?Pete is at his
best appearance I know of).
The deadlier enemy of Mickey is The Phantom Blot.He is always one step
ahaid of him setting deadly traps all the way and having absolutely no
respect for the "foolish" Mouse.
