The first part of a study on funny animal comic-book artist Phil DeLara has
been published in the latest issue of "Back-Up" (#9, August 2001).

The article in Back-Up #9 is 17 pages long, written by Tristan Lapoussière,
and presents the evolution of Phil DeLara's style over the years, the
characters he worked on, and biographical information.

The second part (to be published on BackUp #11) will contain an
never-printed before list of all his stories: Disney (correcting some
mistakes in the Inducks database) but also MGM, Walter Lantz, Hanna-Barbera
and of course the Warner.

Back-Up #9 can be found at the "Album" librairy (St Germains-des-Près,
Paris), Actualités (38 rue Dauphine, 75006 Paris) for 35 French Francs.

You can also send a bill of 50 French Francs to Association Back-Up, 106 Bd
de Courcelles, 75017 Paris.
(I guess the next issues will be even more affordable to Europeans next year
with Euro).

Back-Up #9 is 106 pages, in pocket book format.

Note: other articles about funny animal artists may be published in Back-Up,
including Harvey Eisenberg, Paul Murry, Vive Risto, Tony Strobl, Pete
Alvarado, Jack Bradbury, Al Hubbard.
