*Sigh*

You sent this message in _four_ copies, to dcml? Just to "prove your
point" and spam the list-recipients?

This is not the first time you start a ruckus on DCML about something
totally off-topic. While I hate spam as much as anybody (hell, i'm a
regular reader/lurker of news.admin.net.abuse-email, _AND_ the SPAM-L
list) - I really don't think this is the right mailinglist.

Sure, your email address is _probably_ harvested of the web. And, its
_probably_ harvested right out of the dcml-archives at <URL:
http://stp.ling.uu.se/pipermail/dcml/2002-November/020350.html > , but
you know what? I really find it better to have the archives available
for everyone on the web, indexed by google and other searchengines --
than having to manually have to locate and search through thousands of
lists everytime I wonder about something.

Of course, one could always get the listadmin to munge the
emailaddresses on those webpages, but . .. ehh .. it really won't stop
the spam-problem.

If you want to fight spam, complain to the spammers providers (but
please, LEARN HOW first! And don't complain in your usual whining
way!). Don't kill the abuse-desk, but try to get'em to whack the
spammer.

*sheez*
