MICHIEL:

For "pizen", I refer you to the following piece of dialog from
Gottfredson's "Race to Riches" (e.g., Mickey Mouse #238):

> Squinch: "Ye're in the wrong pool, man! That's a poisoned one!"
> Pete: "It ain't, neither! Thuh pizen's there!"

Thus, it would seem that "pizen" is an idiomatic way of pronouncing
"poison".

As for "bluff", according to my dictionary:

> *bluff*, _adj_. 1. with a broad steep front, _a bluff headland_.
> 2. abrupt, frank, and hearty in manner.
> *bluff* _n._ a bluff headland or cliff.

Thus, in this context, a bluff would be a steep cliff, and "Pizen Bluff"
would mean "Poison Cliff", presumably because there is a cliff and
posioned water nearby--not a very hospitable place!

I wouldn't be suprised if Don informs us that this is the name of a
real town!
