Some ducks more "human" than others

So we think of the Disney ducks as human. But I'm
puzzled that Barks drew the ducks in Tralla La as more
human than the Duckburg ducks. They are taller, have
no tail feathers or duck legs with webbed feet, and
most significantly, they have human hands with
5 fingers instead of 4 on most cartoon characters.
They only have duck faces. Barks drew their bodies
similar to Gyro, without any suggestion of a duck or
chicken shape. I have no idea (does anyone) why Barks
wanted to distinguish the residents of Tralla La this way,
but in many panels it is clear they have 5 fingers.
           Best wishes,
                                        Larry Giver.
