A brother of one of Gus Gooses's parents (all geese) married a sister of
Grandma Duck. No blood relationship necessary.

We are all related: I have two parents. Both of them had two parents....
If I take a generation as 30 years there were 67 generations since the
birth of Christ. So I could have 2^67 = 150.000.000.000.000.000.000
ancestors in the year 0. I believe Diamond Dick married some ancestor of
our Ducks, but no offspring is mentioned.

Some remarks regarding interspecies sexuality and reproduction:

1) Are Duckburgians attracted by members of another species? Gladstone
is a goose, Daisy is a Duck.
=> Interspecies attraction exists.

2) Are they allowed to marry?
=> Yes.

3) Is intercourse physically possible? I remember a story in which Daisy
was ashamed of Donald's physique. One of Daisys friends (a goose) had a
boyfriend who was a boar - ennormously big and strong, at least three
times bigger than the Ducks and could only say "snort". This looks like
a mainly sexual relationship to me, if ever I saw one.
=> Different species have sexual intercourse.

4) Do parents from different species have children?
No example proven without doubt. But many hints: Marriage is possible.
Sexual attraction exists.
=> Yes, they do have children. But they seem to be ashamed of it and
thus give them away to uncles or aunts. Children of parents who belong
to the same species can stay with their parents.

5) There are to halfbreeds like gooseducks, horsecows, pigducks,
terrierdogs in duckburg.
=> There must be a strongly dominant gene trait to favor standard
phenotypes.

I see the following two possibilities:

A) The belong to different species but can have offspring. But the
offspring is not fertile (like crossbreeds between sheep and goats in
our universe).

B) All intelligent animals belong to he same species. Their outer
appearance is more like hair color in our universe.

I favor B) : Their genes determine their appearance but essentially they
all belong to the same species. Which is OUR SPECIES - because there are
also humans in the Duck-Universe, who are obviously attractive for
Donald. I also believe that the phenotype of a baby follows the mother's
phenotype, so the children of Horace and Clarabelle would be cows. And
there is no danger that a human girl might lay eggs after getting
pregnant from Donald.
