There is an article about this subject by Carsten Laqua in Comics Journal 
135 (1990). It says among other things: "After 1935 no new Disney films 
legally crossed the border into Germany. In 1937 Roy Disney visited Berlin 
in an attempt to extract some of the Disney money frozen by the bankruptcy, 
but had no luck."
