Alecto:
The Grandma duck story in the Australian comic is the
same as one in Dell's
"Vacation Parade #2" in June, 1951. Gus & Jaq play violin music and Grandma
Duck starts remembering when she acquired her attic keepsakes. First a
hat she wore
on a date with Humperdink at the fish peddler's picnic in 1905. Then
shoes she
wore to a dance, and on page 5, panel 2, Humperdink's muddy coat. She
recalls in
a thought balloon he spread it on a mud puddle for her to walk on. This
is to
only picture of Humperdink in this story---quite different from his
appearence
in Rosa's duck family tree. The young Humperdink in Grandma's thought
balloon
had a substantial mustashe at the end of his upper beak
Don Rosa's time schedule required Humperdink & Grandma to be
married
much earlier than 1905 (as Sigvald's site shows) so that their son
Quackmore is about
the same age as Scrooge's sister Hortense (about 8 years younger than
Scrooge).
                                    Best wishes, Larry Giver.
