>Well, even though Egmont may consider Ludwig von Drake to be "officially
>dead" and there might be a bias against such
>characters as Moby Duck, their is still the seeming "fact" that Disney, as
>an entity, does not currently express the
>same sentimentality! A recent Pin Collectors version of the "Duck Family
>Tree" firmly includes BOTH characters, and as
>recently as the animated TV series, Ludwig was very MUCH alive and well in
>MODERN cartoons. The BAY CHRONICLES
>comicbook series has recently utilized Moby in a continuous fashion as the
>lead character. Egmont may dictate who can
>and cannot be used in THEIR publications, but that does not mean no one can
>use a character if published through some
>other source.

Aren't the Italians still using LvD in some occasional stories? I know that
he appeared in some of the new Giovani Marmotte stories, at least.
