Barks "Pip Squeeks" 1953 Daily?

Michael Barrier's 1981 biography of Barks states: "At one point Western was ready to publish a comic book of Barks's own, starring a young human character who would have been, Barks has said, 'almost like a humanized Donald Duck,' with two young children as his companions..." (pg. 84)

This is the first time I've seen actual images of the characters, though.
