I read again the El Dorado story about two days ago and the intrigue tends to summarize a lot of elements which are presents but separated sometimes in the Barks' stories: the chance of Gladstone Gander (Gontran Bonheur in french) with its part of humorous situation, the adventurous Donald and his nephews searching for an expensive rare stamp in the jungle, the collectors everywhere (and thus the rivalry everywhere), even at the end of the world, searching for the same unique thing; the adventure in the jungle reminds me of the beginning of the 'Raiders of the lost ark'; the story ends nicely for Donald, whereas the lucky Gladstone, by accident, without doing anything, wins a fortune in bucks for the precious stamp; this is a part of the final plot, how this precious stamp is gotten by him suddenly, after a tremendous adventure in the jungle with a golden giant, and thanks to the mail administration.
