For those of you, who haven't heard about this:

The release date for Egmonts "Carl Barks' Samlede Vaerker" (Carl Barks
Complete series) is getting closer. It's a scandinavian co-production, and
comes out at approximately the same time in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The
deluxe-Barks collection is only available in subscription directly from
Egmont Serieforlaget. The danish version, limited to 1800 copies, is just
about sold out. The 8000-pages Barks-collection is a completely new version
of Barks' comics, with new colouring, revised translation (at least in the
danish version), and about 1500 pages of articles and Barks biography,
written by Geoffrey Blum. It also contains Barks' Barney Bear and Benny
Burro stories, among other things. Starting this August a box with three
books will be issued every two or three times a year, continuing till 2008,
when it is planned to be finished off with a portfolio (is that he right
word for "kunstmappe", Poul Spaerhage?) with reproductions of 10 of Barks'
covers. Each with their own special background story.

Need I say, that discussions about this collection goes on and on and on in
scandinavian Disney comics circles...? :-)

/Ole
