  Subject: Brazilian character names

  Hello,

I am currently helping a journalist who is preparing a book for Disney Iberia about the history of the company and its products in this region of the world.

Of course, in Portugal, the Disney character names that are used in comics are the ones that were created in Brazil.

So, here is a question for the Brazilian members of the list :

Do any of the character names have a special history or meaning? (for example in French : Dingo - Goofy means crazy, Picsou - Scrooge means StealCoins, Geo Trouvetou - Geo Gearloose means Geo FindAll,... some other names are also jokes on famous personalities). Is that the case for any Brazilian names? Can you help us with that?

Thanks a million in advance !!

  Didier
