There was a story called Skating Along by Vicar that might be the on you're 
thinking of, with Donald skating against Gladstone. Maybe 8-10 pages? It was 
a race down a frozen river with Gladstone cheating all the way. Donald had 
to jump over barrels and save an ice fisherman, etc.. In the end Gladstone 
won the race but Donald was invited to a big dinner for the fisherman he 
saved. The last panel is of Gladstone standing out in the snow peering in 
through the window at the huge feast everyone else is enjoying. Here's a
