GEM's Scrooged! Exhibit Opening Party a Success
Friday, February 29, 2008 Geppi’s Entertainment Museum in downtown
Baltimore at Camden Yards held another in a highly successful series of
GEM member events. The Scrooged! exhibit is now open in celebration
of the legacy of the “Good Duck Artist,” Carl Barks (1901-2000),
illustrated through a unique exhibition of original oil paintings, artwork
and other memorabilia starring the likes of Uncle Scrooge McDuck,
Donald Duck, and the rest of their orange-billed family.
Special guest in attendance that night was Don Rosa who graciously
signed autographs and conversed with GEM members during the
7:00–9:00 PM event. With numerous beloved, highly intricate Scrooge
McDuck adventures to his name and an international fan following,
Don Rosa ranks among today’s most significant Disney comics creators.
GEM members said that the event was very informative, interesting,
and they look forward to the next installment in this series. Thanks to
Steve Geppi and his GEM staff for a lovely evening!
