The Terries and Fermies are mostly a threat to Duckburg.
Duckburg isn't the entire world. :)

In the original Pertwillaby story, the solvent is a threat for the entire
Earth. The solvent sucks away the air. This is not or less the case in the
Disney version.
The Black Knight, in the Disney version, isn't destroying the entire world.
And he would need a lot of time to do that, if it was his intention.
Destroying parts of Duckburg already takes him a lot of time and energy. And
he can be stopped with material made of diamonds, if I remember well.

There are many stories in which aliens threaten to take over the Earth. At
least, that would be the end of the world as we know it. :)
