<P>Barks may have only mentioned calisota once, but i have certainly seen it used repeatedly by other artists afterwards, and i had assumed that Duckburg being in Calisota, USA was a pretty much offical fact...as rodney said, the only other references I've really seen are those in burbank... </P>

<DIV></DIV>> I must say that I don't consider myself a Donaldist or a Barksist
<DIV></DIV>>(though I must say that I am closer to a Barksist if I had to choose one
<DIV></DIV>>of the two.) In fact I've never given much thought to when the stories
<DIV></DIV>>take place or where they take place. But it seems obvious to me that the
<DIV></DIV>>stories take place in the USA. Perhaps this is because I live here and
<DIV></DIV>>it's easier for me to visualize the stories taking place in this >country.

<DIV></DIV>>I thought Calisota was mentioned more than once, but I suppose I was
<DIV></DIV>>wrong. I am aware of the numerous references to the ducks living in
<DIV></DIV>>Burbank. There are also many instances where the ducks *drive* their
<DIV></DIV>>cars to a place in the USA. (The Rip Van Winkle WDC&S story comes to
<DIV></DIV>>mind) To me, Duckburg will always be in the USA, but I suppose my
<DIV></DIV>>opinion is biased............
