Don,

I've heard you express similar sentiments many times over the years,
about your art being below that of many other artists. And while I
am in full agreement with Didier below about the quality of your stories,
I have a small confession to make that perhaps also applies to many of
your European fans (I'm a poor Canadian fan who hasn't read a Rosa story
in several years... sniff).

OK. Here goes.

I like your art.

When I first started re-reading comics as an adult, the first few comics
I bought (for my kids, but I read them too) were some of the Disney comic
runs back between the two Gladstone runs. I think the first
story of yours I read was Return to Xanadu, soon followed by Treasure
under Glass. Aside from the excellent storytelling, I was impressed
by the wonderfully detailed art. And, over the years, I became
convinced that you were one of the best duck artists around. For
your art, not just the stories.

There you go. I guess some of us just aren't that artistically
astute, and don't realize that we shouldn't like your art as much as we
do. But I for one would be sad to see your stories go to the pens
of other artists.
Back to lurker mode....
wondering why you are so popular. I believe the reason is obvious. You
have one thing in comon with Barks : you are a GREAT
storyteller.
above those of the other Disney artists and that therefore your stories

you would like to improve your revenues) why you do not start selling
scripts that others would draw in parrallell to writting and drawing
stories.
