Hi *waves* I'm "Lurker Jen"....

*waves to Katie* It's me OchaGirl...

- Can you name five favourite artists?

~~~5? I don't know, I'm spoiled by Mr. Rosa! :-)  But I'll try~~
#1 Don Rosa/Carl Barks
#2 Carl Barks/Don Rosa
#3 Daan Jippes/ Romano Scarpa
#4 Marco Rota
#5 Daniel Branca
- What are your favourite stories by these artists?
~~~And if the world were destroyed, which of God's animals would I save...what a d*** hard question!....Recently I read a Carl Barks story about where Scrooge was paying Donald to worry for him...that was pretty funny...I rather liked "The Prize of Pizarro" too, just the way the two groups are totally oblivious to one another....

~~~I love almost every story done by Don Rosa....but I do like the Goldie/Scrooge stories *hangs head in shame for being a Goldie cult follower*, and even though I've only seen it in Danish (I speak English kinda, sorta), I like "The Dream of a Lifetime"; which is interesting in the fact that if you're a new Rosa-duck follower it might seem a rather scatter-brained story (keep in mind I couldn't read the dialogue), but if you've read some of his "Life and Times" series stories you might see it as an accumulation of a lot of Scrooge's life experiences. The story also gives Donald the chance to see Scrooge's life the way Scrooge perceives it as being. I was also happy that there were scenes with Goldie...and Scrooge together...heh... *hangs head again*.                                 &nb
sp;                                                   I also love the part where Donald gets thrown out on the street by his own grandparents, well their figments anyway :-). Actually there's a alot I like about this story, but too much to put here...
"Attaaaaaaaaaaaak!" was hilarious! I was laughing out loud! Oh the joy! ^____^....hehehe
His "Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" was great! That's a big "duh" because I don't hide the fact that I'm a big fan of Mr.Rosa....though I do realize there are other artists out there. I really liked his stories "The Dutchman's Secret" and "The Three Cabelleros Ride Again"!
I *can* go on....but...no...
~~~~Daan Jippes: I don't really know which I prefer, but he has a very "Barks" feel in his art. Which is nice, though no one will be able to replace Mr.Barks, God bless his soul.

~~~I like Marco Rota's 'Andold' stories, Donald..erm....Andold.....seems perfectly set in the old Briton story line; not sticking out like a sore thumb. I liked the regional jokes in the one where Andold gets a Viking personality. His art isn't bad either, it's a very comforting style.~~~
~~~I love Daniel Branca's fluid yet masterful artwork in his stories. He portrays action so well. And his stories usually have good plots (from what I've read).I really don't have a favorite story as of yet.~~~

- What are your favourite scenes?

~~~Historical scenes, castles, good action sequences, scenes where you can actually tell where the character is going (not just having the background change everu scene).
- Which jokes did you like the most?
Comedy timing is a big, big, big thing to me, even in comics. For example "Attaaaaaaaak" showed great over-amplified paranoia, as the story goes on the paranoia builds-up, leading to psychotic mayhem. And the comedic timing is 'muy bein'. Most of Don Rosa's stories have a good layout. Carl Barks also has a knack for that. I like Daniel Branca's humor too, nicely done visual comedy.
- What are your favourite characters?
~~~Hmmm with Katie, I know it'll be varieties of combinations of Scrooge and Goldie...hehehehehehehe....

For me, Scrooge, Scrooge with Goldie (though I wouldn't mind if Mr.Rosa did a story of just her, that'd be quite interesting.) Grandma Duck, Ludwig Von Drake and Donald when put in a good story.

- Are there situations in life which remind you of things you've read
  in comics?
- What's the first story you ever read?
~~~I don't know. I don't even know when I got started collection them!!! Maybe 7 years ago? It's probably one of those beat up ones I have, maybe the one that has a reprint "The Great Steamboat Race". USA #48 perhaps.
Long winded, eh?
That is all~ I shut up now~ thank you....*plop*
STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE*
