What promises to be the biggest money maker ever
for any Disney comic characters will be those in the film The Incredibles. We
have already been treated to hilarious previews (see www.incredibles.com). However the idea is
not completely original to Disney--or Pixar. The comic Super Goof had a fairly
good run by Gold Key/Whitman, but as far as I know has not been seen
since. Although Godfredson and Barks produced highly amusing comics, none, in my
opinion, were out and out funny. Back then, Super Goof as a spoof
catered to all ages. It would be nice if Gemstone could reprint some of the
Super Goof stories or even come up with some new ones. Perhaps they could even
come out with a special edition. Since it is Disney property, maybe the Disney
company would agree calling it The Incredible Super Goof.
