
<html><P>The PC Police ("Disney" Studios) won't allow Little Hiawatha to be published in this country, so I can't offer an opinion on his adventures, but I'm a strong fan of Zeke Wolf, Bucky Bug, Brer Rabbit, and other non-Duck characters. To say that their universes haven't "evolved" is silly, since the Duck universe hasn't developed much either (nor do I want it to). You could just as easily say that 90% of all Scrooge stories have the old duck searching for buried treasure or trying to defend his money from criminals, or that 90% of all Donald stories have Don trying to suceed at some job or get the best of Jones or Gladstone. The Wolf stories generally follow the same formula, but it's a simple and good formula, capable of much amusing and interesting variation. I also enjoy the old Bucky Bug tales a good deal; the rhyming dialogue is pretty ingenious and the artwork is always good. I certainly look on these stories as more than filler, and I'm sure some other folks do too. </P></html>
