<HTML><FONT FACE=arial,helvetica><HTML><FONT SIZE=2 PTSIZE=10 FAMILY="SANSSERIF" FACE="Arial" LANG="0">The Eisner Awards were held Friday night at the San Diego Comic Con.<BR>
Don Rosa was nominated for Best Short Story.<BR>
He attended the awards ceremony but he did not win.<BR>
Todd Klein did win for best Letterer for the umpteenth consecutive year.<BR>
Don was happy to be nominated but felt it was not his best story. <BR>
He did mention that David Gerstein is his "Lucky Charm" and every time Don has won, David was present. Next time he is nominated, we need to be sure that<BR>
David attends!<BR>
Just to update you on Don's American activities, he will be in San Diego through Saturday and heading home on Sunday.<BR>
He will be in Baltimore for the September convention.<BR>
