	Dear Folks (especially Don),

Don Rosa discussed talking with John Clark about his
"Donald's 60th Birthday" story. Does this mean, Don, that Gladstone
is going to try to use the story? The mention of it "precluding
future reprint" suggests that he's NOT going to use it... at least
that's the way it sounded to me. Maybe that meant that he's going
to use it, but is sad that it won't make sense to reprint it five
years later. I hope that second thing is what he meant.

When I talked to John about 1-1/2 weeks ago, I brought up
the story with him as you mentioned I might want to do, Don. He
said, "I'd like to use it, and I can probably arrange with Egmont to
use it simultaneously or earlier than they do. But I don't want to
do that too often... I just went through all of that with the
Olympic story."

So what's happening? BTW, if you know WHICH issue DD's 60th
birthday issue will be, maybe you could tell me?

	* * * * *

Speaking of the birthday, two other things. First, I've
finished "The Plot against Donald," a story by the Dutchman Mau
Heymans in which Donald thinks Daisy and Gladstone are going to get
married. This is planned by John for the 60th birthday issue, too.
We have our own HARRY FLUKS to thank for making this story known to
me and to Gladstone.... he sent me the copy I used to make my
English version.

Also, FABIO, did you send those comics yet? I'm just
wondering... (for the rest of you, I'm referring to some pre-WWII
long Donald stories done by an Italian team named Pedrocchi and
Pinochi, and John wants me to dialog one for DD's 60th, also).

	That's all for now. Quack!

	Yours in duckdom and mousedom,

	David Gerstein
