Subject: More junk for Don
First of all, a thank you is in order to all those who answered my
DuckTales questions a while back. Just this past weekend I finally got
caught up on my Disney Digests, so I got to read all your comments. (It's
a lot of fun to read 20 - 25 digests in a row!)
DON:
Terror of the Transvaal: I am embarassed to admit that I didn't recognize
Flintheart immediately. Whoops. Part of it goes back to DuckTales (the
subject which would never die). I'm so used to seeing Flinty as Scottish
that I didn't think of him at first. Halfway through the story I realized
he had to be SOMEONE, as you weren't mentioning his exact name. And about
3/4 through I realized it had to be Flinty.
Also, two other ideas for junk. There was a story reprinted in the later
days of Gladstone's first run that Barks did with Rockerduck and involving
some super-fast motor-oil or gas. Donald won the race, thus losing
Scrooge the bet. Maybe you could have a bottle of that stuff somewhere?
Or even the engine from the boat -which was all that was left, if I
remember correctly.
Another idea was a story where Donald sold U$ a life insurance policy and
so U$ goes out to try to hurt himself so he can collect the policy (which
was a billion dollars, I think). Maybe U$ still has the policy somewhere.
In any case, good luck with the story.

P.S. What about some leftover clothing or some such from my favorite Uncle
Scrooge story "His Majesty, McDuck"? I loved Scrooge in that regal robe.
Surely that's somewhere.
