Hi all!
Again, these are lists of Harry which I translated and extended a

STORY-IDEAS
-----------
WDC 103 <beachcombing>. Idea by Dana Coty.
WDC 107 <super-snooper>. Idea by Dana Coty.
WDC 160 <camel as present>. The joke of page 2, panel 4 is by
Gare Barks.
Of the following stories, the story-idea is by Barks' daughter:
WDC 198 <knight in shining armor>, WDC 200 <donald's pet service>,
WDC 211 <wishing stones>, WDC 218 <porpoise-hunting>, WDC 231 "The
Wax Museum" and US 24b "The Magic Ink".
WDC 264 "Master Wrecker". Idea by Joe Cowles.
OS 9 "Finds Pirate Gold". Barks drew the pages 1, 2, 5, 12 to 40. The
pages were drawn by Jack Hannah. The script is by Bob Karp, who
rewrote it from an unused script for an animated Disney movie.
OS 29c "Too Many Pets". Merill de Maris started with the script.
Finished, rewritten and extended by Barks.
OS 256a "Luck of the North". Idea by Dana Coty.
OS 263b "Trail of the Unicorn". Idea by Dana Coty.
DD 26a "Trick or Treat". Converted by Barks from the cartoon of the
same name (1952, directed by Jack Hannah).
US 5a <secret of atlantis>. Idea by Chase Craig.
US 16a "Back to Long Ago". Idea by a friend of Bill Spicer.
US 23a "The Strange Shipwrecks". Extended from a short script of
Nick George.
SOME COMMENTS ON VARIOUS STORIES
--------------------------------
In this paragraph some comments, which don't fit in other paragraphs.
SGW '54 "Donald Tells About Kites". Only on page 7 this version is
only different from the Pacific-version: Panels 3 and 4 are
replaced for other panels.
US&DD 1 "The Mummy's Ring". Barks redrew page 1, 16 and 17 of "The
Mummy's Ring" (OS 29a).
u-WDC 110 <wave-set on dog>. Only a very diminished and partly
hidden version of this cover has survived. It was used as a
detail for an advertisement for WDC.
s-GG '59 "The Pied Piper of Duckburg". Barks made 3 pages of script
for a Gyro Gearloose-story, which he never finished. The script
consists of elaborated pencil drawings. In 1989 Don Rosa
extended, elaborated and finished it to a 8-page story.
s-US 35a "Aswan Dam". Barks rejected this story in an early phase.
What survives of the story are two letters in which he tells
about it. It's not likely that Barks made any drawings for this
story.
Covers from paintings:
In 1972 Barks' painting no. 20 was made as a cover for a
Christmas Oneshot, but only years later it was used by Gladstone.
Paintings as cover-ideas:
Of the following paintings, Barks sold the sketch as cover-idea:
No. 72 (wild horse, 1973, published on WDC 405).
No. 107 (money falls out of hat, 1975, published on US 135).
No. 108 (video-phone, 1975, published on Daisy and Donald 25).
Script-only stories:
DD 117, DD 126 and US 71a are drawn by Tony Strobl.
DD 138 is propably drawn by Bob Gregory.
Most JW-stories are drawn by Kay Wright, some by Tony Strobl.
Written-only stories:
During his retirement Barks made three stories which he
submitted as written text, these stories are "Hang Gliders be
Hanged", "Go Slowly Sands of Time" and "Horsing Around with
History". At the end of the '70s, Barks made 12 drawings for
"Go Slowly".
