Gosh -- now I have an impression that Mensa members are absent-minded and
repeat themselves every few minutes in conversations. Those meetings must be
annoying. Those meetings must be annoying.
DAVID:
The cover that I did for WALT DISNEY'S COMICS IN COLOR #8 was the one
with HD&L in the art gallery looking at portraits of DD, U$ & MM. But the cover
you or somebody is now describing, with DD driving MM on a tour of Duckburg, was
one I did for that same series and which Disney REJECTED for unfathomable
reasons -- something like they disliked seeing DD & MM in the same universe
(same with me) and that cover would suggest to readers that it contained a story
with that scene... and it would drive people insane and result in riots and
looting and rape and murder or something. (This was in the period when Disney
was trying to annoy Gladstone so much that they'd give up the license
voluntarilly so Disney could assume it and become "as big as Marvel within a
year" -- remember when that happened?) Anyway, I'll need to ask Gladstone if
they are actually using that cover since I was never paid for it -- it was
returned to me after they apparently took a photostat of it. I guess they forgot
they never bought it.
