	GREG:
Gladstone is VERY new to doing production work of ANY kind
with computers. Until last year they still had to utilize a
complicated, expensive process to reproduce color covers in
advertisements (which is why, for over a year, the uniform ad for the
CBLIC line showed CBLWDC 2 every month).
When they "went computerized" last year, they only had a few
fonts for their system (I am led to believe), which is why all their
advertising used nothing but Helvetica font for so many months.
Now, of course, they're well used to things, have dozens of
fonts, and have tons of ads in the comics which picture the various
covers (which are just scanned-in, now, hardly costing anyone a dime).
But I don't know, and I don't believe Gladstone knows, how to
remove all colors but black from a scan. If someone can send me a
private E-Mail discussing how this is done (with Adobe Photoshop, or
some such Macintosh program), step by step, it would be extremely
useful for some projects which are ABOUT to go into production.
