Bug, in the Sampo-story?

Maybe he simply beat it out of Donald. There's a lot of beating in the story already. (which is why Donald digs the walkingstick down in the first place.) It's a bit weird, really, 'cause I always thought Don Rosa would go back to that joke later in the story... Oh well.
