KOMIX #138, December 1999, features the following:

a) A cover by Carl Barks, originally appearing in US #71 and illustrating
"King Scrooge the First".
b) "In Carl Barks' Shadow", a 3-page biographical editorial on Tony Strobl.
Included are two rejected Barks covers for "KStF", plus a panel from the
re-drawn version of that story by Ulrich Schroeder. Sources mentioned

c) "King Scrooge the First", from US #71, 1967. Art by Tony Strobl, script
by Carl Barks.
d) Carl Barks' "Foxy Relations", from WDC&S #98, 1948.
e) "Tarzan of the Apes", a 4-page editorial on the ocassion of the recent
Disney animated movie.
f) Barks' "Trapped Lightning", from US #13, 1953.
g) Gutenberghus' (now Egmont) "Christmas Turkeys", D-8214.


In its next issue KOMIX will celebrate the (false) new millennium with a
double, 132-page issue, featuring a Barks Xmas ten-pager ("Xmas in a
Submarine"), plus Rosa's "A Little Something Special" and Scarpa's "The
Lentils from Babylon" in a wrap-around cover by W. van Horn (from an old,
early '90s Disney Comics issue).
