Today I spent a full day at the Dutch Disney editors (VNU). Mainly to
tie some loose ends in our Inducks database. We reached a milestone
today: the index for the Dutch Donald Duck weekly is *complete*
(1952-2000)!!
Also, the cover information for *all* covers from 1987 to 1999 was
checked by editor Frans Hasselaar and artist Michel Nadorp!

Some other (interesting and less interesting) news:

The story code of the first H-story this year is "H 2001". I forgot to
ask Thom Roep about his plans for codes this year (and the following
years)...

Don Rosa's story about the Lost Dutchman's mine will be published
in DD Extra #3 (March), 2000.

Wilma van den Bosch will continue her (non-Disney) Aster stories,
to be published in DD weekly. Very good stuff (IMO)!

The VNU people use our Inducks index every day. I showed them
some more ways to use it (they only used Per's "search facility" so far).
Unfortunately, the editors (almost) all use a Mac, so I had some
problems using the indexes I brought with me on floppy disc.
There's still some standardisation to be done in the software
business...
