Some time ago, there was a thread on this mailing list about the reprints of
Don's "Life of $crooge" saga.
Well, a new edition of Lo$ has been published in Italy a couple of weeks
ago... it's part of a series of comics that are distributed both on the
newsstands *and* in the bookshops (usually, they make the Italian
best-seller's list, too...).

The book's title is "Paperdinastia: la grande storia dei paperi piu' famosi
del mondo" ("Duckdynasty: the great history of the world's most famous
ducks") (Why "duck*S*", you might ask ? Who knows... ;-)). Its 388 pages
reprint the original 12 chapters, plus 6 other stories: "Of Ducks and Dimes
and Destinies", "The Cowboy-Captain of the Cutty Sark", "The Vigilante of
Pizen Bluff", "The Dutchman's Secret", "Hearts of the Yukon", and "Last Sled
to Dawson".
Each story has a short introduction, providing a few facts and the Barks
references. It looks like these intros are just short summaries of the ones
which were used - a few years ago - for the first Italian reprint of the Lo$
in a single volume.
They just added a couple of pages introducing the extra chapters - BTW, is
"Last Sled to Dawson" actually considered as a chapter? In the book, it's
labelled as "chapter 9b"...
The book contains also Don's "Duck Family Tree", and an index of the names
of the characters appearing in the saga. Technical data: softcover, Lit.
16,900 (about $ 8).

I'll take a look at the best-sellers' charts, in the upcoming weeks, and
keep you informed... ;-)

Ciao,
Armando
