Hi,

Today I picked up a flyer somewhere about an exhibit in Rotterdam titled
"Duckburg is everywhere". The flyer reads:

"Who doesn't know Donald Duck? The witty, clumsy Duck, the everlasting
loser, always young and immortal? But what do you really know about Donald
Duck and his friends? Did you know, for instance, that the history of Duck
and his grandfathers goes back way before the time of the Neandertalhers?
Recent research shows that ducks dominated in the most important moments in
cultural history. Reason enough for the Kunsthal in Rotterdam to devote a
large exhibit to the famous history of the Ducks: in lifesize,
three-dimensional dioramas the the heroic adventures of the famous ducks are
shown. Also scenes from life in Duckburg of today can be seen and
experienced in the dioramas."

There is more. If anyone is interested I can translate the whole thing.
There are pictures of a statue of an ancient Egyptian duck statue. A
painting of a dog as Vincent Van Gogh. A Donald in a Leonardo DaVinci
drawing, a Duck Mona Lisa painting, a Duck of Troy and more.

More information: http://www.kunsthal.nl/english/agenda.html

The exhibit runs from 15 April to 27 August 2000.

Anyone interested in going there with a group of the mailing list?
Especially the Dutch people?

Greetings,

Arthur
