Don Rosa:
>>I was figuring that Louhi ("Pohjola Woman") was the story's villain,
>>wanting to conquer the world, and I knew that the people in Europe who
>>usually get that notion have a special fondness for Wagner's "Die Walkure"
It is often quoted in films as well, for the villains-- and not only German villains.
ex1: "The Blues Brothers"
When they are chased by the Nazis at the end
ex2: "King Solomon's Mines" (the one with Sharon Stone & Richard Chamberlain)
Jerry Goldsmith uses the Walkyrie motif for the German villain
(the score is the only interesting feature of this movie)
ex3: "My Name is Nobody"
Ennio Morricone uses it for the Wild Bunch
