Scrooge as thief

Never.

Scrooge made his fortune by being smarter than the smarties, and tougher 
than the toughies, and he made it SQUARE!

Scrooge discovered, mined, fought, saved, and scrounged for every cent in 
the Bin, and protected (and increased) his wealth throught the same means 
that had won it.

The stories which suggest otherwise clearly did not happen as recorded.  
That was either a disguised Flintheart/Rockerduck (for whom the behaviour 
would be much more in-character) or an as-yet undiscovered Scrooge Double.  
Most likely, these stories began as anti-Scrooge propaganda ;-}
