Fine Org Carl Barks Letter& Donald Duck ART

Superb EARLY letter, July 29, 1974, firmly written in ink, WITH 
ORIGINAL DRAWINGS by the late, unsurpassed Disney giant Carl Barks, 
who singlehandedly created the world of Duckburg, gave us the likes 
of Uncle Scrooge and those Beagle Boys, and is considered by many 
the finest comic book writer/artist who has yet lived. 

Written right as he was retiring from writing his last Jr. Woodchuck 
stories, and his painting career was just beginning. In this letter 
with just FANTASTIC CONTENT Barks gives advice to a fellow cartoonist 
on drawing Disney ducks, including pencil drawings showing how the 
characters are constructed. "...About your duck drawings I have one 
criticism. You are drawing only the "outside" of the ducks. They 
(the ducks) are based on circles pretty much. You do a much better 
job on the superhero guys." Barks touches on his early story 
"The Mummy's Ring" from 1943 in the letter, and how the current ducks 
at that time were based on his 1960s version of them. He also mentions 
his OIL PAINTINGS, and includes with the letter a delightful photo 
with notations on the back of his latest painting at that time, 
based on his CLASSIC "The Gilded Man" story. 

The letter has a FANTASTIC, clear classic signature in ink...."Best 
Wishes, Carl Barks". Beside this is a wonderful, happy penciled Donald 
tipping his hat, measuring nearly 3". You can see the "construction lines" 
Bark's left for study. Beside this is a classic "Huey" and a basic 
"Circle Huey" left unfinished by the "Good Artist" as referance for 
this artist/fan. Letter has Bark's classic address stamp up top, written 
on lined tablet paper as is normally seen, with creases where it was 
folded for mailing. Altogether THE BEST Carl Bark's letter I have 
encountered...the instructional duck drawings add immensely to this 
letters value. I have not seen one like this before. Perfect for framing 
with the envelope and photo. This letter has the additional provenance of 
coming from the collection of fellow Disney Duck Gladstone artist Pat
Block. 
This letter is guaranteed original, your money back if not delighted, bid 
with confidence. I do not think you will find a better letter from the 
Duck Maestro. [...] GOOD LUCK! Dont let this one get away.

SCROOGE MCDUCK FIGURINE PEN SIGNED CARL BARKS

THIS IS THE BEST! UNCLE SCROOGE IS PERCHED ON TOP AS A BUST FIGURINE IN
GOLD ON THIS VERY CUSTOM HIGH-END PEN.
Carl Barks signed the front of the box with a large signature in gold pen. 
The box and the pen were stored since purchase about six years ago. The 
pen has never been out of the box. Both pen and box are in excellent shape.
The top of the pen is green with dollar signs all over it. The pen clip 
looks like a money clip. It says Scrooge and has a dollar sign on it. 
The bottom of the pen says McDuck following the clip's $crooge.

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK - THERE IS A CHAPTER ON MAGICA de SPELL, SEVERAL 
DUCK STORIES WITH SCROOGE AND DONALD AND ALL. THERE ARE GREAT SHORT JOKES 
IN ENGLISH FEATURING DAISY AND HER ONGOING RELATIONSHIP WITH DONALD. 
ALSO A GREAT SECTION SHOWING ALL THE OLD MASTER PAINTINGS AS THEY WOULD 
HAVE LOOKED HAD THEY BEEN DUCKS PAINTED, INSTEAD OF PEOPLE! THERE IS 
RUBENS, MANET, DEGAS AND OF COURSE, DON'S WHISTLING MOTHER!! AS WELL 
AS ALL THE REST, VERY FUN. VERY GOOD COLOR AND TOP QUALITY PRINTING.

THERE IS SLIGHT WEAR ON THE DUST COVER, BUT NOT FROM THE BOOK BEING 
READ - THE SPINE IS TIGHT AND PERFECT. CARL BARKS SIGNED THE BOOK IN 
BLACK SHARPIE MARKER ON THE INSIDE TITLE PAGE. THIS BOOK WAS PUBLISHED 
BY DISNEY ITALY, AND IS 12" HIGH BY 9" WIDE.

This beautiful etched glass paperweight was made for Disney's exclusive 
95th Bithday Party for Carl Barks. Only 150 guest were invited to attend 
this event. The piece is numbered and signed (etched). It is #112 out 
of 200. Mr. Barks signed to piece for me at the party. The paperweight 
can be layed flat or stood on end for display. This piece is in mint 
condition and comes with its proof of authenticity.
