paints vs. comics???

I prefer the fifties, too...
I wanna think there are no humans in the Barks world (but alas! Barks drawed
humans, too).

The paints. Hey, they are impressive, o.k. but I hate the next situation...

Me: Well, and this great artist and writer, Carl Barks...
Another people (maybe a girl): Carl... WHO?
Me: Barks. He created the great comics you loved when a child...
Another people: Oh... yes? ¿comics?
Me: Yeeesss... Later in the sixties he begun to paint thats pictures of
his...
Another people: OH!!! A PAINTER! THATS DIFFERENT!!! THAT SERIOUS STUFF!!!

And hey, no, I wanna say... is another art. Only another art, not more or
less serious that the GLORIOUS, LOVED NINTH ART.
