Hello everyone!
>>Daniel:
>>There's also a Scrooge Double in "King Scrooge the First" (US 71).
>>I don't remember how it's explained, but I think this Scrooge Double
>>was one of Scrooge's ancestors.
p 8 , panel 2: "The old duck is indeed the near-reincarnation of
ancient King Scrooge-Shah"!
p 8, panel 3: "And those nephews were long ago *princes* of
the royal dynasty!"
Unlike "Back to Long Ago!", here the ducks are not reincarnations
of previous ducks--
U$ 16, p 2 panel 4: "We believe we *can* actually *levitate* persons
back in *mind* to lives they lived hundred of
years ago!", explains Mesmer J. Spellcaster, HP, DH
p 6 panel 8: "I'm pretty sure that four hundred years ago I *was* Matey
McDuck of the British Navy" (emphasis mine)
p 8 panel 5: "Donald is the reborn *Bos'n Pintail!"
It seems that Barks changed his mind regarding reincarnation-- he may never
have actually believed in it, mind you, but deemed it a good story-starter.
The evolution is quite interesting & smart: the ducks are the "near-reincarnation"
of their ancestors in the sense that they carry their genes.
U$ 71, p 2 panel 4: "If my theory is right, only a full *carrier* of certain ancient
genes can speak that tone!"
panel 5: "And in those genes should be recollections from the sly
brain of that frist carrier of four thousand years ago!"
p 8 panel 1: "In a moment the stimulated memory cells in the ducks' genes
have transported them back in mind many centuries to a
bustling day in old Sagbad..."

PS quiz #2:
>>"Those tracks show that the spies lurked outside your window
>>sixty-three minutes ago!"
"Mission to Codfish Cove", WDC&S 114, March 1950, Album 17,
p 6 panel 8.
I *love* those quizes!
Still wondering where the previous one can come from...
