	Hey Vic!

Wouldn't surprise me if this was around late 1940s-early 1950s.
Woody has a Neighbor Jones type enemy in these (horribly drawn) NEW FUNNIES
stories, at first named blatantly "Jones" but quickly changed to
"Tackhammer" - who slowly begins to develop into a more subtle character,
and who seems, as such, to be the direct forerunner of Stanley's "Mr.
McOnion" in his Nancy and Sluggo stories.
There are also Charlie Chicken stories from this same period where
Charlie's farmer boss acts in a manner that anticipates Mr. McOnion: in
particular stomping around the farm, shouting with a deadpan expression
about the things he's going to do to Charlie.
