Regarding the Duck family tree in the "Caveduck" story mentioned by Rich
Bellacera:
The story referred to was not by Carl Barks, but written by Carl Fallberg,
drawn by Tony Strobl and inked by Steve Steere. The story was titled
"Uncle Donald and His Nephews - Family Fun" issued first in USA in Dell
Giant Comic nr. 38 also titled "Family Fun", in Spring of 1960.
The story seems to have a very non-scientific plot and storyline, as a
tornado lifted Grandma's house off of its foundation, carrying it into the
jetstream, and very far away into a tropical valley with prehistoric
animals ((dinosaurs, flying reptiles and a "cave duck" (who is later found
to be the missing Duck on the Family Tree)). The family tree is very
unscientific as well, having mainly the regular Duck characters, and only
the following additions: Blackduck the Pirate, Z-Gun Duck (Cowboy),
Ebenezer Duck, and a missing member (Cave Duck). It is very silly, as it
has no parents or proper relating branches. Gyro comes off Donald's
branch. He (a chicken) is either donald's Brother, or was "miraculously
born" using one of Donald's ribs (act of God) or cloned using Donald's DNA
(in 1959 or 1960?)
How were these characters born without mothers???? Based on the diagram,
ALL the characters are children of one mother (the tree trunk), except
Huey, Dewey and Louie, who are Donald's sons, and April, May and June, who
are Daisy's daughters. The "Cave Duck's" egg must have been carried off by
a fairly recent tornado, as he is of the same generation as Donald et al.
There were no previous generations to migrate across continents to that
hidden valley. Blackduck must be a "modern" (current) pirate. Scrooge is
a very much older brother of Donald.
I will send scans of the "Cave Duck" and the Family Tree to Gilles Maurice.
Wak! Wak! Kwak! Kwak!

I'll be curious to see how Gilles Maurice can weave these four extra
characters into an overall Comicbook Disney Duck family tree.
