I can't tell (it's also a matter of taste).
This said, I must add that the DCML is one of the best mailing lists of all the internet.
It has so many knowledgable persons, and a level of discussion above many newsgroups.

Ah so that's it, you don't like to join a newsgroup.
This is not very difficult, but I don't know. Obviously you don't need to read all the licence
agreement to join.

I think I understand your feeling. There are some advertissment here and there
but compared to the possibility of uploading images, sending messages
ect. it seems absolutely normal and fair and I accept it. I'm not bothered much about these ads.
