Are the Gladstone albums series

Uncle Scrooge Adventures and Uncle Scrooge in Color
(1996-?)

two separate series, or the same?  If they are
different, what was the point of doing USiC after
publishing 56 volumes of USA?  Is the USA series, the
complete Uncle Scrooge stories except for the 2 1
pager volumes?
