Off topic HELP!

I know this is off topic but, 
As a member of this mailing list for the past 3-4 years I need your help.
I am studying English acquisition. and since most of you ( from outside the 
U.S. ) have very good English, I have two questions that came up in class 
about foreign speakers:
1) Are Americans arrogant about speaking English?
2) Given a choice, in what country would you choose to live?
